When you are pregnant, your body is constantly changing, but some changes should not occur. If you notice one of the following symptoms, consult your doctor. Your body may be trying to warn you that something is wrong.
1. Flu symptoms.
Influenza for pregnant women is much more dangerous than for other people. The problem is that it is difficult to notice it in time, because headache and nausea are also signs of pregnancy. But if there is body aches, fever, runny nose and sore throat - obviously you need to treat a cold. Otherwise it is dangerous for the health of the child, especially in the first trimester of pregnancy. Ideally, before conception, you need to be vaccinated against influenza.
2. Swelling of the face.
Swelling of the arms and legs is quite normal during pregnancy, but in other parts of the body this can be an alarming symptom. If you have frequent swelling on the face, around the eyes - tell your doctor.
3. Permanent urticaria.
During pregnancy it is quite natural that the skin on the stomach and chest, where it stretches, can itch. But persistent urticaria can be cause for more serious concerns. In the second and third trimester, it can talk about liver problems.
4. Lower abdominal pain.
If they are strong and frequent, this is a signal of a problem. Miscarriage, premature birth or ectopic pregnancy is possible.
There are three causes of bleeding during pregnancy: implantation of the fetus in the uterus, miscarriage, and sex. During implantation, there is a slight discharge of blood, but this is at the very beginning of pregnancy, when you are still most likely not even aware of your position and confuse the discharge with menses. Miscarriages occur before the 20th week of the term, and the reasons may be different. Bleeding after sex may be in early pregnancy, when the cervix is very sensitive - but then it is also better to consult a doctor.
6. Severe nausea and vomiting.
Unlike the standard symptom of pregnancy, this nausea can last even after the 14th week of the term. If this happens more than three times a day, plus weight loss and dehydration, there is a problem.
7. Less child movement.
Between 18 and 25 weeks of age you begin to feel the baby in your belly.Over time, you will learn to distinguish its movements, and if something changes, and you suspect something is wrong, consult a doctor. He would rather calm you down and say that everything is fine than you will think that you are winding yourself up.
